The Landing Page creator in MR is where you will spend most of your time when creating a campaign.
Our campaigns are created most often by a series of specific targeted landing pages.
Here is a quick overview of the features of this creator:
When setting up the page, hover over any of the Settings Labels to get tool-tips explaining exactly what the option does. Most options are very self explanatory, and the large majority of our users have been able to create their own landing pages after watching our simple getting started video, and exploring the options, while using tool-tips to answer any questions about what an item does.
Landing Pages are used to collect data from your leads, it might be a registration for the first time, or adding tags to leads, or even taking payment.
In Marketing Rocket, we control this using one simple setting which can be found in 'Landing Settings -> Page Actions -> Primary Page Function'.
There is 3 Simple options to choose from here which are explained below. It is nessecary to understand this concept to effectively create pages:
Option 1) FORM: This option is used when you want to use a form to capture a leads details or add more information to a lead, or take payments.
By setting a landing page to FORM mode, you will need to either 1) Insert a form into the page using the FORM item or 2) Insert a button into the page and set the buttons ACTION ON CLICK setting to OPEN POPUP FORM.
Adding a form to the page will insert the form you have created in the form builder (also in the landing settings options), this will allow users to submit the form, and will perform any other options you select in the settings, such as sending the lead Auto Responder Sequences of emails, or adding/removing tags and much more.
Setting Open Popup form to a button on the page will instantly create a 2 step opt-in. This is one of the more highly converting methods of capturing information, instead of the form displaying on the page, it will popup in a on page modal popup, this popup can be edited in the landing page creator by pressing the "SHOW POPUP FORM LAYOUT" button at the top of the editor.
The page MUST be in form mode to take payments.
Option 2) CALL TO ACTION (aka CTA): This option is used when you just want to record that a lead has clicked a specific button or link, enabling you to send new responders or modify tags on the lead.Setting the page to CALL TO ACTION mode will give the page the ability that when a button on the page is clicked, it can append details to the lead, or assign them to new email auto responders. For example, you might have a page that advertises a series of marketing tutorial emails on a certain topic, by adding a button that says 'Yes! Send me these Emails', you could assign a set of auto responders to the lead, of course, this we can only do this if the lead is already in the system and being tracked, as such, CTA pages are usually found after a lead has opted in for something already, and it is a soft way to get leads to say YES to a new set of emails or topics on something, without having to request them to sign up again.
Option 3) DO NOTHING: This is generally used at the end of a funnel when there are no more pages.
This is most often used in Thank you Pages, or pages at the end of your funnel. This page will not submit data in any way, and does not usually contain buttons unless they are a manually entered URL link to another page on your website.
A common question we get asked is why, where and how to add tags, and why there are so many options to add them!
Firstly, Tags are the way we know where a lead has traveled previously, and what they have received in our campaigns, they offer us a reference we can refer to later in order to send people the correct auto responders.
